Israel and the End Times 'Strong Delusion'

Image
This is going to be a lengthy post, but I believe it’s an important one to read through. It’s going to touch on some controversial aspects of current debates. I think, however, that it’s important not to shy away from honestly exploring these sensitive issues. 2 Thessalonians 2 describes the events of the end times – which include Satanic signs, wonders and portents – as comprising what Paul calls a strong “delusion”: “9 The coming of the lawless one will be in accordance with how Satan works. He will use all sorts of displays of power through signs and wonders that serve the lie, 10 and all the ways that wickedness deceives those who are perishing. They perish because they refused to love the truth and so be saved. 11 For this reason God sends them a powerful delusion so that they will believe the lie 12 and so that all will be condemned who have not believed the truth but have delighted in wickedness”.   ...

Is Elon Musk the False Prophet?

Image
NOTE : If you're new to my blog, start here with my initial post outlining the many links between Donald Trump and the biblical figure known as the Antichrist.                  Revelation 13 describes two beasts that rise together during the end times. The first beast – the beast out of the sea, with seven heads and ten horns – is a figurative entity that denotes both the Antichrist and the world-controlling beast government that he incarnates and sums up in his own person. The second beast – the beast that arises out of the earth – has become known to prophecy researchers as the False Prophet . I made a blog post recently describing the coterie of yes-men (and yes-women) who surround Trump, and in that post I described these people as false prophets. However, this second beast figure is not just *any* false prophet, of which there have been many down through history. No, this figure is called *The* ...

Trump's Head Wound and Revelation 13:3

Reminder : If you're new to my blog, make sure to start here with my initial post outlining the many links between Donald Trump and the scriptural figure known as the Antichrist.                 In this relatively brief post, I want to discuss Trump’s head wound and Revelation 13. In Butler, PA, on July 13, 2024, an assassin named Thomas Matthew Crooks tried to take Donald Trump’s life. Crooks failed, only (apparently) succeeding in clipping the top of Trump’s right ear with a bullet fragment – or, as some speculated after congressional testimony by then-FBI director Christopher Wray, with perhaps a shard of glass. Other attendees in the crowd were shot by bullets coming from Crooks’ rifle, with one of them (a man named Corey Comperatore) dying from his wounds. Trump’s survival of this assassination attempt led to his later claims that God has specifically spared his life so that he could save America. Tru...

The Leviathan State

Reminder: If you are new to my blog, start here with my initial post outlining the many links between Donald Trump and the biblical figure known as the Antichrist.  “8 If you lay a hand on it,     you will remember the struggle and never do it again! 9 Any hope of subduing it is false;     the mere sight of it is overpowering. 10 No one is fierce enough to rouse it.     Who then is able to stand against me? 11 Who has a claim against me that I must pay?     Everything under heaven belongs to me.” -           From Job chapter 41   “Homo homini lupus” (Man is a wolf to man) ― Thomas Hobbes, from Leviathan                   In Revelation 12, Satan is described as being a great red dragon: “3 Then another sign appeared in heaven: an enormous red dragon with seven heads and...

Charlie Kirk and the Importance of Nonviolence

It has now been a week since Charlie Kirk, the young right-wing activist and public speaker, was assassinated in broad daylight at a university in Utah. I have deliberately refrained from writing a post about this event until I could take some time to collect my thoughts, consider the evidence, and gauge how people in the public sphere would react to news of this tragic event. Now, after ruminating on that day and the consequences that seem to be following on from it, I believe I am in a better frame of mind to deliver my own thoughts about it.                 First, I want to make one thing clear to anyone who is reading this blog: Murder is never an acceptable action for a Christian to engage in. Scripture reminds us on numerous occasions that we are to care for and respect even our enemies, and that we are not to take vengeance into our own hands...
